About Judith

Singer-Actor-Composer-Lyricist

"Judith Lander possesses not only the rare quality of singing the very heart of the song but, better yet, the rare talent of singing into the heart of the listener." -- After Dark Magazine, N.Y.

"Lander raised the roof!" -- Toronto Star

"Legendary!" -- Martha's Vineyard Times

"Lander happens to be the greatest interpreter of Weill material I have ever heard, with the exception of [Lotte] Lenya, and it's always a special occasion when she gets to prove it." -- Martin Knelman, The Toronto Star

"Judith Lander, who sang during the presentation of 'Diary', is an outstanding talent both as a singer and composer...Excellent!" -- Philip Jones, Assistant Director, Robeson Campus Center, Rutgers University.

"It would be impossible to find the right accolades to describe Judith Lander and her performance here at Gettysburg College. Our student body, the faculty and the administration were deeply impressed and enlightened by her vocal talents and the energy she emanates when on stage. As a person and as a performer, she is of the character which adds an essential quality and life to our programs." -- Edward McManness, Director, College Union, Gettysburg College

"Judith...I enjoy listening to you sing." -- Stephen Schwartz, Composer & Lyricist (Wicked, Prince of Egypt, Pocahontas, Godspell, Pippin).
